The constant f2.8 aperture across the entire zoom range makes this lens incredibly versatile for low-light indoor events without constantly adjusting settings. The autofocus on my Z6 III locks onto subjects with reassuring speed and accuracy, even in challenging conditions.

I was a little worried about the weight, but on the Z6 III it balances beautifully and the zoom ring is buttery smooth. The f2.8 stayed locked sharp even when I was shooting handheld indoors at dusk — exactly what I needed for event work.

The constant f2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range is fantastic, giving me consistent low-light performance from wide to telephoto. Sharpness across the frame is excellent even wide open, which is exactly what I needed for event photography.
