Sennheiser Richtrohrmikrofon MKH 416-P48U3

I was shooting a dialogue-heavy outdoor scene and the interference tube really locked onto the voice, rejecting wind noise better than any mic I've used. The sensitivity is spot-on for my Sony α7 IV without needing a boost in post.

The self-noise is so low I can record ambient room tone without any hiss getting in the way, and the sensitivity makes even quiet dialogue pop clearly. It’s noticeably lighter than my previous shotgun mic, which is a huge relief for long run-and-gun shoots.

Finally got this for outdoor interviews and the interference tube design really cuts wind noise without a bulky blimp. Battery life seems solid too, ran for hours on location with no dropouts.
