Canon RF 50mm f1.4 L VCM

The compact size is a huge plus for travel, and the autofocus locks onto subjects instantly even in low light. Manual focus ring feels precise for video pulls, too.

I was blown away by how fast this lens locks focus, even in dim light—it's a game-changer for video work. The compact size makes it easy to carry around all day without feeling weighed down.

I shoot a lot of portraits and this 50mm f1.4 has barely left my camera since it arrived. The compact size is what sold me — it balances way better on my body than I expected for an L lens, and the autofocus just snaps.
