Sigma 100-400mm f5-6,3 DG DN OS (C) Sony-E

It’s remarkably sharp for a lens that zooms to 400mm, and the autofocus on my A7 IV locks onto birds faster than I can frame them. The weight is manageable for a full day hike, though I did take a break to rest my arms after a few hours.

I've been using this lens with my camera for wildlife shots, and the autofocus is impressively quick and accurate even in low light. The zoom ring has a nice, smooth resistance that makes fine adjustments easy.

The OS (optical stabilization) is a lifesaver when shooting handheld at 400mm, and the focus ring has just the right amount of damping for smooth adjustments. Perfect pairing with my camera for birds in flight.
