I was blown away by how clean the dialogue sounded from across a noisy field—the directional pickup is incredibly precise. It handled the long reach without picking up nearby chatter, which is exactly what I needed for sports reporting.

Even in gusty conditions on the sidelines, the interference tube on this shotgun kept the crowd noise out of my broadcast feed. The reach is incredible; I can clearly pick up an announcer forty feet away without any blasting from the PA. Definitely worth the investment for serious field recording.

Had it set up for a remote sports shoot last weekend and the reach on this long shotgun is phenomenal. The directional pickup pattern really isolates the action, even with crowd noise. Sound clarity is easily on par with broadcast gear I’ve used before.
