The manual focus ring has just the right amount of damping, making precise adjustments feel natural. Even wide open, the sharpness in the center is impressive on my R5 II.

Shot wide open at f/1.2 on my R5 II, the falloff is gorgeous and center sharpness is already solid. The aperture ring clicks nicely and being fully manual is actually a plus for how I shoot. Not tiny, but way more compact than I expected for this speed.

I've never used a manual focus lens before, but the focus ring on this one is so smooth that nailing sharpness at f/1.2 on my R5 II became second nature within a day. The aperture ring clicks nicely, and the build feels solid without weighing down my bag.
